Urban Practice Completes 81-Unit Affordable Housing Community in Voorhees

New community expands access to housing while strengthening everyday connectivity for South Jersey residents
Voorhees, NJ, April 30, 2026 – Urban Practice, alongside Mayor Michael R. Mignogna, local officials, and development partner The Michaels Organization, celebrated the grand opening of Victory Commons, a new affordable housing community delivering 81 apartment homes.
Designed to support both accessibility and everyday convenience, Victory Commons is located near schools, parks, childcare, and local retail, with direct regional access to Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and New York City via nearby transit and major roadways.
“This project challenged us to consider affordable housing in a suburban context, where connectivity to the community looks a little different, but remains equally important,” said Anthony Noga, Associate at Urban Practice.
The community includes nine two-story residential buildings and a central clubhouse, with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments available to households earning 60% or less of the area median income.
The homes are arranged in walk-up buildings that reflect the scale and rhythm of the surrounding neighborhood, creating a setting that feels both connected and approachable. Shared spaces, including a clubhouse, fitness center, and community room, support everyday routines and opportunities to gather.
Accessibility is integrated throughout the site, with adaptable ground-floor units and full compliance with accessibility standards, allowing residents to remain in their homes as their needs evolve.
All buildings are designed to meet Energy Star and Zero Energy Ready Home standards, with high-performance systems, EV-capable parking, and durable materials that support long-term sustainability. The architecture balances traditional forms with a clean, modern material palette, connecting to the character of the area while looking ahead.
Victory Commons reflects a continued investment in expanding access to quality, affordable housing in Camden County, helping create new homes and a more connected, livable community.
